How much is an 06 1000rr Blue/Yellow worth?

Just wondering, I'm picking one up with 6k miles and mint condition next weekend most likely.

Just wondering what price range I could expect to resell it for if I have to.

Corbin seat, proton lights, besides that it's stock. No scratches

Hahah thanks captain obvious :stirpot:

I also saw my mint 07 600rr I just sold was worth 5600 according to KBB and couldn't seem to get more than 4900 for it (most offers of 4000-4500). I have found out that sometimes the internet lies lol

Just wanted real opinions and insight from people who might know more than a vague website :nerd:

What it's worth is ONLY what someone is willing to pay for it. KBB, NADA, blah blah blah. It's a bike that has very few electronics, a unique color scheme that only a small faction of riders are interested in, and it's almost 10 years old. 5-6K at tops.

Think differently? Put it up for 7K and see how often your phone rings.

^ This.

KBB is a place to start for pricing, and if you actually took the time to look, it does state expected mileage for any given displacement and year.

As a general rule of thumb, aftermarket parts are 50% retail, at best. Asking a global forum what a used bike is worth really isn't all that helpful, probably more vague than KBB.

But you already knew that.

But hey, if you want to inquire about the value of any given bike, in a global sense, it's a free country.

KBB and NADA are used more by dealers. They can get a higher price because those with cash don't go to them. Those who need to finance do. Which means the dealers will jack up the price because they know they've got you by the balls.

So, basically, KBB and NADA are useless in private sales.

I bought my 06 Blue/Yellow with similar miles last year for $5100, and this is in SoCal where prices can be...inflated. The bike had minimal mods, but the fairings were in a bit rougher shape than the seller let on over the phone and on his CL listing (not dropped, just abused in a tight garage). Since I really only ride it on the track, I didn't care. Granted, this is one of those ones that was on CL for maybe a couple HOURS when I saw it and was a smokin' deal IMHO, but I couldn't see spending more than another grand on it.
