Which Full Exhuast System Best for CBR1000RR ?

Which Full Exhuast System can pump out the most hp and torque for CBR1000RR?
Anyone have any ideas?

I would do a search on the board for exhaust but from what I can gather arata and akrapovic are the high end top performers and then I guess the most popular middle road would be the micron serpent system. Check out microns site. They claim big numbers with their full exhaust.

From what I gather I guess arata has the best quality exhaust. I don't know how it performs, I wish I had some dyno runs to look at.

I believe that the micron is a better system than the akro. From what I've heard the micon is great, but with issues like increased heat to the bike and possible low idle bogging I would recommend a custom map. Oh ya the pipe sticks out at an angle under the tail, it is centered but at a angle.

I don't know anything about the akro but I would like to see some dyno numbers.

If you're not on a track, buying a PCIIIr, and taking it to a dyno then ask yourself, do you *need* the best? The bike already has about 150hp stock.

My opinion is to save some of your hard earned cash and get one that you think looks good.

Akropovic full ti made a few more hp than the Arata. Tried both back to back on an engine dyno

I agree with LDH on that. I was digging over at gixxer.com, and found this dyno chart of a Akrapovic system for a Gixxer...............
Now get this. The red line is stock. The green line is a Supersport tuned engine with Webb Cams. The blue line is all the SS mods from the green line plus a Akrapovic full system added. Playing with the fuel only added +5hp above 11.2k rpm not shown on chart. Looks like that pipe wrecked it's midrange. My bike is a street and trackday bike. I want more midrange not less. I don't know if this is the case with ZX10R, or 1000rr. But it has me thinking real hard.

1. Arata: quality; power gains--most and broadest gains; quality; weight (saves 14lbs over stock); price.

2. Akra: same as #1, but more top-end oriented power gains and more expensive for full TI;

3. I like the looks of the Yosh full system with the shape of the can--not sure about the power.

4. Whatever you like best!

Just be forewarned, you will bet about SAE 7rwhp, 3rwtrq with the system, pc3usb and a map. $$2k or so.

I suggest a pc3usb and custom map on the stock system first.
