Anyone have pics or info on how much drop you got out of your shaved seat? I'm going to do mine and try to get at least the balls of my feet down, if that fails I'll just have to buy a carbon fiber race tail and run a foamie... being short sucks sometimes...
Being short sucks. I know!
I shaved the seat of my Suzuki GSX750 R... I took an inch off but it still wasn't enough.
Had the opportunity to sell Suzy and ended up with a Blade.
She's an "on the edge" bike-size for me. She's perfect size, going forwards.
Going backwards is a different story because my legs are too short to make enough power to push her back. Especially if back also means up.
If someone has the ultimate tip or trick, I'm interested.
Yea I'm getting tired of having so much trouble moving back.between bashing the non folding rearsets I usually have on my bikes and stop lights I'm about to break out the welder and drop the subframes on my bikes. I didn't want to because the rr has underseat exhaust but it gets annoying.
Thats your best bet , not really to much to building one if you have hf ac tig capabilities. Id build you one just for pratice but i sold my HF machine a few years and havent aquired a new one yet .
They make the bike handle poorly, I tried links twice and both time no matter how much I played with the suspension I couldn't get it close to factory geometry.
I have a spool gun setup now and tho it works I'm getting a nice tig so I can tig different materials, I share a garage with a friend we have English wheel, planishing hammer etc. Miller mig, old big compressor. So we can do it I just never have time being on the road for work
