2008 Cbr1000rr ?

Anyone heard anything yet ? It's time for a complete remake as just done on the CBR600RR.

I'm holding off until I see 08's. New VFR ? Have my 02 and don't really want another overweight ST unless of course it has a V5.

Would love and have read possible CBR800RR with a V4 !!! Or even a CBR750RR inline 4. I would buy a CBR800RR V4 today if Honda made it. 130+ hp, full suspension adjustments, 420 lbs wet.

I'm worried if I buy an 07 CBR1000RR now I will live to regret it soon when the all new 08 1000RR comes in the fall or next year. Honda has to do something with the new R1 and GSXR1000 models. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to make myself buy anything but a Honda and a red one. I simply want light weight, good brakes and suspension, and 130 or so hp, just enough to kill myself slowly.

Because every morning feels
Like a weekend,
rush hour is a total rush
and this bike makes going to
work almost worth it.

Forgot about that. I almost bought a 2001 brite red CBR1100XX and talk myself out of it and got the ST1100, WTH was I thinking ?!? Kept it 6 months and 2000 miles and traded for the 02 VFR, the underseat exhaust was just too much. Bought the wife her own bike, me+wife+ST = lots of weight. Got her the V4 Magna and it's 2001 with only 6000 miles on it now and should just sell it. She don't ride anymore after my wreck on the CBR1000RR in 2004.

Last I heard about the XX was 1200cc and hyper VTEC system ? My VFR has VTEC, it's ok, could live w/o it but doesn't bother me much as I don't let the little V4 go below 7000 ! Piss on that. I do like the ABS though and feel all bikes should have it. The linked brakes, so-so, seems fine to me. I get the feeling Honda is out of the high power/speed Busa ZX14 race ? But you're right, a V5 CBR XX might be hard to pass on, hyper ST and I need to slow on the twisties anyways. Could ride 2 up if needed but the V5 would make it a collectors ? I recently read in a Brit mag some Honda big wig said they would never put the V5 in a street bike. It's gone for good now, too bad I think.

Although my next bike purchase would be at the earliest the mid-model 2010 upgrade to the "all-new" 2008 (in theory), I'm still very interested to see what we get for 2008. Whatever 2008 offers, the 2010 should be an upgrade

Even if I never buy another bike, I still want Honda to kick ass... at least 25% of the time.

The '07 GSXR is looking good, especially with the power and features it has as standard.

I was tempted to build a 190+rhwp motor for my '04 cbr, but why spend $1000's when in just a few years, I can probably buy a better handling, lighter, better looking CBR with 170+rwhp off the floor? At that point, simple bolt on stuff and you have 180+ ...

I'll save the $1000's (that I don't have ) and use it towards a trade-in in a few years. Then again, the smart buck is to keep and ride the 2004 until it's really really old.

If they follow pattern... they released the 600RR in 03, then the 1000rr in 04.... the new 600rr in 07, so we're hopeful for another 1000rr in 08.

I have not heard about the 750rr or 800rr.. I would definitely be interested in an 800rr!!!
