What would you recommend?

So my girlfriend, soon to be fiance on christmas eve, wants a bike. Im not really sure about it. I kinda like her on the back. She dosent know how to ride, and im not sure if she would like it. I thought about buying a 50 so she could learn the basics (shifting, throttle)...and thats a excuse for me to get a new toy. What kind of bike do you think is good for a first? I started on a R6, which she wants, but I am worried about how twitchy they are. whatcha think?

well, then I guess just go with what you think is best.

Just remember that todays 600s have the power of a 1984 GPz1100 or a GS 1100. I know I had no business on that kind of machine 20 years ago, and I had 8 years of experience riding by then.

I vote for the Ex 250 also. My wife also wants to get one, but have to wait till next year. Looking at either a ex 250 Ninja or 500.

Learn on it, get comfortable, then sell it.

I've been tossing the idea of getting my fiance a Ninja 250 as well. Being that we just went out today and spent 3,700 on wedding bands kinda puts it off a little longer now. :? But I recommend the 250
