You seem like a nice guy so I will leave it at that.

And you are just wishing you had anything of substance to offer, since you don't you spend your time piling on to keep chaos going without having any knowlege of your own. Enjoy your opinions no matter how far from truth they are. The truth doesn't matter for you as long as the illusion fits your theory it must be right.
It's interesting how somehow my being able to post on a site while I'm at work somehow equates to my inability to dyno a bike. I work at a motorcycle dealership which has internet access, I do a fairly large amount of my work on my computer. It's also where I have a ton of referance material like shop manuals, techs, sales and service reps, access to Honda Interactive, and have bikes sitting in front of me. That actually makes it the perfect place to try to put up accurate posts here. Assuming that my stating how many hours I work has any contrary effect to my posting on here is ignorant. If you think I'm bragging about spending 75+ hours a week away from my family you'd be wrong.
That's a good example of your flawed viewpoint.

I'm done with this thread. I've requested information to try to find the depth of a problem in another thread. I'm glad that the OP got a satisfactory end to his issues.

this forum is a headache for honda...on this issue, because IT IS AN ISSUE WORLDWIDE.
djhartm...well done for having the balls to fight for what your conscience was telling you..."i did nothing wrong", and taking it up to the multinational corp.
you told the truth and karma hit you on the head...new bike
the dissension in the last 10 pages of the members in this thread is actually a blessing in disguise for honda owners...because honda know that the OWNERS are pissed at them.
like i said previously, honda australia are reading this...becaused i emailed them and they at least acknowledged it.
do not be surprised if honda japan bring forward the upgrade model. can only be good for those waiting. cheers, enjoy the new one.

always being the joker i have to say,

Yea too bad I was one of the few people that ended up being right from the beginning. Everyone said DJ was done and stick a fork in him but I didn't believe so because I know how the law works.

Also for the record I was the FIRST one to state the REAL issue with the neutered top end. While you and Jim were stating that there was no difference between the US and UK bike. If you dont believe me read the thread. I think I stated it around page 40ish. Then Jim decided to close the thread right after honda made their statement. I didn't get much of a chance to rub it in his face, but figured I would now.

Rub away.

I closed the thread because it turned into something much like this one.

For the record, I think that djhartm got lucky with this and made a whole lot of mistakes that were the direct cause of his problems, but I congratulate him for coming out ahead in the situation anyway.

I call BS because you guys were beating DJ ragged right and left. He constantly asked you guys to lay off and actually did so in a nice manner several times. You guys ignored his requests to lay off with the salt in the wound comments. Now that Honda has decided to give him a new bike your response is still, well you screwed up but some how your getting a new bike!

Thats just lame. Connect the dots, Honda couldn't legally prove that the issues he was having was due to his mishandlings. Someone stated how this whole lawyer thing works for big corps. You get some lawyers on the pay roll and they fight cases for you. They get paid x dollars a year regardless of how many trials or hours. I just don't get why so many of you are in denial about this. Its pretty obvious what happened.

I dont think it was anything like this bash fest. It seemed to me like you didn't want anyone to say I told you so, which is all it would have been.

I will not post for a few days as I have obviously stirred the pot on this one.

Well, I went to look at my 'new' bike yesterday. TPS already performed the dealer trade, so I will have to cross my fingers with the lower VIN (001508) maroon/gray unit.

A few minor niggles to work out, but I hope to have possession by mid-week.

Im glad dj came out how he did and I have always thought it was a factory thing but he did have some obstacles. I dont think him getting a lawyer helped all that much where honda is concerned. They have a team of some of the best council in the country im sure they would have had a field day with anyone. They know they have a problem and I think they are getting them taken care of on a cae by case basis.
