so street riding is limited to 2nd gear? If third gear you'll always be at like 70 on local street? i'll try that tomorrow just first and second.

Bike will run hotter, burn more gas, and throttle response will be a little sluggish. Around town 3.5-5 is fine. We've got lots of torque so the higher rpms is far from being needed for power.

Watch this video and tell me if this will hurt the engine by keeping the RPMs high cause it just feels so right like this ... Honest question my buddy watched my video and told me if I run my bike like this it will blow up..

Your buddy should've slapped you...what part of your engine screaming "FUCKING SHIFT ALREADY" feels right? In town none the less..

I don't know why but after ridding a 600 it made me want to have the rpms up... It always feels super responsive and slows down way faster this way too ... Also the video makes it looks worst than it feels the bike does not feel strained at all but I'm no expert so I'm asking because I've been told these bike were built for high revs and it will not hurt the engine...

Not trying to be a dick..

The bike was built to be RACED, to PERFORM at a higher degree than a street cruiser. If your doing neither than why put it through the unnecessary strain..yes it'll take what you dish out, but if that's how your ride day in and day out, than it'll increase the wear on your bike for sure..for no reason.
And of course its going to be responsive when your compression is as high as it is.

We might be.
The dude has his shift light set to come on at around 8K RPM
Still don't see the point of riding around town in first or second gear at 10k - 11k RPM though

Shift light was set by the previous owner and I never changed it, and I never rode the bike like this before just one day got used to having the rpms high and got addicted to the responsiveness of the throttle like this. I guess I will shift out of 1st sooner but I cant see myself ever riding around town in anything higher than 3rd.. Freeway is one thing but around town I get bored with the rpms low... Thanks for the input
