on the track I whacked the 1krr b/t 9krpm to 11k rpm.

What's the speed limit in your towns? I hit 50km/h in 1st at about 4000rpm. I too find that 3500+ rpm is a good marker as anything under this makes the bike sluggish and non responsive.

3500 - 4500, pretty sure i seldomly go over 6000 in town
