Maybe BMW will say using 1 connecting rod every 1,000 is acceptable?

Glad I bought the 1198s instead of the new BW

New BM is an awesome machine, just lacking personality.

Is that what you're averaging? If so, that's not too bad; ~4 MPG less than our blades. I'm curious if the same quandary is posed with that bike as with ours regarding headers. Obviously getting new headers for blades means more power up high, does the same apply to the V4 of your bike? Sorry to plague you with questions as I find your bike fascinating.

Oh that would make me feel real good, having the local dealer tear down my bottom end and apply thread locker. No thanks BMW!

Wow, 1.4 million motorcycles are involved here! At one time, the rumor was production for the last few months, I am assuming it involves a time period much longer than that, maybe most of the production run? Does anyone have any idea how many of these they have sold? A whole bunch of them, I know.
