"" GOPRO HERO 3 FEEDBACK NEEDED "*
.
Ok, so as most of you probably already know, there is a ALL NEW GoPro HERO 3 coming out soon.
Faster, Smaller, Lighter, Better Quality, Built In Wi-Fi..etc..etc.
This Post is a General Discussion on what your opinion on the Two Models coming out of HERO 3.
They have the SILVER SERIES, which is is basically an updated HD Hero 2 camera with WiFi built in, the thinner size and and improved housing.
1080p/30fps, 960p/48fps, 720p/60fps
11MP photos
Up to 10 shots per second in photo burst mode
And then for $100 MORE.. They have a BLACK SERIES, Which includes the WiFi Remote ($80 value) and a better Camera
4K/15, 2.7K/30, 1440p/48fps, 1080p/60fps, 960p/100fps, 720p/120fps
12MP photos
New photo burst modes with up to 30 shots per second
There are hundreds of way to use and mount a GoPro. But, the most common, is Mount on your Bike, or Mount on your Helmet.
In these situations, it's a TOTAL PITA to have to (POWER ON, Make sure it's on, START. Recording, STOP Recording, POWER OFF, Switch to Camera Mode, Take some Rapid Shots, Switch Back to Video, Change Video Settings...etc..etc..)
That's where the WiFi Remote comes in. You strap it to your wrist like a Watch, and it has a MATCHING LDD Screen to exactly what your Camera is doing. Plus, a Big ON / OFF and Record Button.
So what's your opinion on what GoPro is doing.
Is it worth spending $100 MORE for the Better Camera and the WiFi Remote ?
or would you just using your iPhone, or Droid device as a remote instead . and save the $100.?
Once again, just a General Discussion on these models. This isn't to debate GoPro vs. something else, or what they sell for.... etc. JUST Discussion on GoPro's Decision to have these two models.

LOL.. sorry about that.
Yea, BOTH Kits use a WiFi Enabled Camera, . Sorry for not clarify..
So you can control both of them with your Wifi Smart Phone (iphone or Driod)
The BLACK Series comes with a Wifi Remote, that you can control instead. And of course More complete Mount kit.
So the question being... more or less.
Would you rather use your phone and have to have it on you, and exposed to the eliments all the time to be able to control it.
or is it worth getting the Black Series with the WiFi remote, which you can strap to your wrist.
They each have their pros and cons. Hens the discussion.

My droid phone is water resistant (Xperia Go). So I might consider the silver series over the black series...buut, maybe the wireless remote in the black series is better at doing this.

Also you have to take into consideration...
Do you dare pull out your phone, and try and access the app
"While your riding.. " to control the Camera.. if say you want to turn it on, or start recording, or take some Rapid Fire Shots.

i would say that they 100 might not be worth it to me. seems to me that its mostly the same shit. and as for my phone i would turn it on to vid tape and just leave it till i was done doing what ever i wanted to get.
so for me the silver is good.
but with that being said my question to all of you is arent there cameras in the SAME PRICE range ($50 each way) that can do so much more?

Oh yea, there are lots of competitors out there now.
Nothing quite as popular as GoPro.
