Tri Color redo

I had an unfortunate incident a couple weeks ago. An 85 year old made an abrupt left turn accress my lane right in front of me. Had to lay the bike down to avoid hitting him. His insurance, GEICO, was amazing. Accident on Saturday, a check in my hands Tuesday!! Mostly cosmetic damage, left side. Ordered all new plastic. It'a all back in one piece...a little different graphics on the lowers.

This is my second set of plastics from Auctmarts. The first set fit really good, but this second set really fits tight and perfect. Came with really nice foam backed heat shield too.

I actually left the first nose piece on since it wasn't damaged. It had the white nose vent screen. The new nose piece has blue vent screen.

I really like the 600 seat cowl best for the 04-07 1000s.

The Motoinkz wheel tapes worked out good too.

Nice! I had been thinking the same thing with some white stars thrown into the fender / lower cowl.

Looks great.

Big-
You can get this scheme available standard from Auctmarts. They will paint it fresh, so you can have them add stars real easy.

did the bike hit his car? I'm surprised his insurance paid you anything if there was no contact between vehicles. Usually they are assholes about that.

No Impact with the car. I was hard on the brakes, but I wasn't going to get stopped in time so I layed it down. The bike came to a stop on the left side almost under his front bumper. I took a good tumble, but I was fully armored, so I was only sore in a few spots for a few days. I got up pretty steaming though!!! The old guy was scared out of his wits.

The driver admitted fault to his insurance and I had witnesses, so GEICO went straight to payment. I didn't hit them with any injuries, so I think they were glad to finish the deal. It was very fair based on my research of parts and labor.
