Putting Bike back together

I am putting this bike back together, I need some help with the battery connection. I have one wire for the neg and one positive but no juice. From what i believe there should be more connections. But I cant find this info online can anyone let me know what I am missing.

What year? You can d/l the service manual for the '08 from a link elsewhere around here. It includes the wiring diagrams.
