My 'new' '08 CBR 1000RR!

Well I finally did it !

It was not an easy decision for me to decide on a 'new' 750cc+ bike, however when I rode the RR I was sure that within my budget there is no other bike I'd love to own more ...



It is standard apart from a Honda cowl, Honda rear mudguard, white rim tape and a BMC air filter. I plan to do many mods to this bike in the next weeks/months..I'll start off slowly though as I am now cash strapped after the bike purchase ...



First of all I want to buy '1000RR' decals for the fairings as seen on US Spec bikes (I think!?)...I LOVE the red RR letters ! Any ideas where can I source a couple?

Well...that would have to wait a bit cos it ain't cheap ...

Anyone knows if there's a good maintenance/repair manual for this bike? I do much of the work on my car/bikes and like to have a good reference handy ..

This week I'll change the oil, oil filter, clean the brakes, change pads, wash air filter etc ...

Drives really well and pulls cleanly from as low as 3000 revs. The most noticeable thing is that this has got loads more engine brake than my previous GSX-R 600..must be the bigger pistons ...I dare say this is easier to drive than the Zuki...

So far...I am absolutely in love with it ...
