helmet whistling

I have a shoei rf-1100 and when I ride above 40mph I get a slight whistle and it is so annoying! If I push against the front of my visor it goes away but when I turn my head to look behind me it comes back again.

I've owned an arai rx-7RR(pre-corsair) and a suomy spec-1R and never had this problem. Am I the only one??

I also have the RF1100 and the whistling is common. The cure is to loosen the shield mount on the helmet and just move it back a bit to make sure that you get a good seal with the gasket against the shield. Re-tighten the screws carefully (just snug) and you're done.

You simply need to adjust the screws for the visor mechanism... Shoei has a video of how to adjust this... IIRC, even Sportbike track gear dot com has the Shoei rep demonstrating how to adjust the visor mechanism to fix the whistle...

I have an X-11 that will whistle with the tinted shield I have for it. The whistle goes away when I swap to the clear shield.
