Quite happy with my bike. Wouldn't trade it straight up for that overpriced "german" crap.

The BMW S1000RR is unquestionably the dominant force in road racing today, look at the incredible number of lap records set by BMW's in 2012 during the Isle of Man TT races.

At least BMW, Kawi, and Yamaha are trying to actually bring their race technology to street bikes. The three aforementioned companies understand that a good number of folks take their sport bikes to the track and expect them to be pretty much track ready. Honda...? Who knows? In superstock trim the CBR1000RR is a good race bike but to get it competitive in the superbike world takes a lot of cash and some stuff the factories just won't give you unless they are sponsoring you.
I am with you on looking at my next bike purchase. Since I only race now I will be looking at what bike to get as a race bike and right now Honda isn't high on my list.

The original owner of my Blade put around 50K$ in it to get it superbike competitive. I picked it up almost unused for a little less than a new BMW, but with the spares I needed for the RR. Haven't tried the BMW, but a Blade superbike handles like a Dream. Haven't regretted it one second...

I'm deciding to just go with a '13 Blade. I was actually thinking of going with the new zx-10r, but when it comes to street riding the Honda is a beast!

I was being sarcastic, BMW couldn't buy a top ten finish at the IOM in either Superbike or Superstock. The top riders are all on Hondas or Kawasaki, must be a reason for that.
