Rear Stand question

I have recently purchased an 08 CBR1K and had an older rear stand for the CBR900 that I had. I didnt have spools on the 900 and dont have on the new 08. My stand looks like the other brands but think it is referred to as a frame stand? There arent hooks or grooves rather flat surfaces which would engage the rear swingarm frame. I used it last night but wasnt comfortable as the bike was leaning to one side. Anyone else using that kind of stand? Or are there replacements ends to make the stand compatible with spools?

Get a pitbull stand if your that worried about it. Stands are pretty much all the same.
