Is there any way to get some HP out of the 2012-13 Blade?

Not really a critic of looks as much as performance. Some R1s are real nice but I wouldn't own one. Very uncomfortable and under powered.

That's your opinion. I had an 1999, a 2002 and an '04. To me they were (and still are, up to 2009 anyway) the sexiest literbikes to ever come out of Japan. If I could afford to have a stable of bikes, there would definitely be an R1 or two in the fleet.

Twisting the throttle will yield additional hp, up to the limit of the machine. I'm surprised no one else mentioned this yet.
