I only use the clutch for downshifts or maybe 1-2 upshifts and when coming to a stop. Otherwise, no clutch. Been doing it that way on my 08 for over 3 years. Sounds great on the street. If you do it right there's no wear and tear on the tranny.

I use the clutch for almost everything except shifting up. Had a CBR 600RR for 2 years before upgrading to the Fireblade. Rode at least 100 miles a day in both city and on the highway without any issues.
