2012 got knocked over in my driveway--shop says 3 months for parts??

The damage is entirely cosmetic, both left and right fairings will need replaced (not the middle one with headlights) and the tail plastic thing will need replaced.. The insurance adjuster amounted it to approximately $3K in damage. Anyways, I drove the bike to the Honda shop here in town and the guy said it may take 3 months for parts??!! WTF?? He says he has 2 CBR's in his shop right now waiting on parts for 3 months, however they are "limited edition" bikes.

Is this shop full of shit or what? 3 months seems absurd to me.

What do you guys think?

Nothing about service or parts would surprise me coming from a dealer.

But, how the hell did you damage both sides of the bike in what is normally a minor driveway incident?

I had it parked in my driveway ready to go to work and found out I didn't have to go in as early as suspected. Well, later my wife had to go to work, so she backed out of the garage with her jeep and hit the left fairing and knocked the bike over on its right side.

A tad excessive for a couple fairing you get for a couple hundred each (new) and most people are installing tail tidy's and giving away their stock plastic tail pieces.

Order your parts from Honda parts nation, get in about a week. Install yourself.
