I got the 08, when people still though it was ugly, and before everyone knew it'd be the best bike.
That said, I won't buy another Honda until they do another drastic change.

I think the changes to the '12 ( suspension, wheels, bodywork and tweaked ECU) will be status quo for a few yrs.

that's what did it for me... when I was at the dealer ready to get the 600RR to track it... I am thinking to my self, I was not ever confy on my old 600RR, so why am I getting this again and I like this new look of the 1000RR, even tho to track the 600RR is all around better...

but that white HRC look at me and wink at me and could no resist... at my first 2 rides, I was not sure if I made the right choice b/c this bike feel so much like a 600RR but that power is crazy... but after my 3rd into my last trackday and doing all the mods, now she feels perfect.... I still treat her like a 600RR tho... I dont want to be lunch to the moon

It felt like a 600? Like the power delivery was slow and gradual?

In stock trim the Beemer seems like a nice bike. But once you get the Honda setup for the track and do the same to the beemer you will definitely appreciate the Honda.
