Sold BMW S1000RR got my CBR 1000RR 2010 again

Hey guys

I just wanted to let the family know that the S1000RR is an awesome machine...but the CBR 1000RR just have that little something that the S1000RR doesn't have SO, I sold the S1RR and got the same blade I had before and I'm not looking back at all.

Really? Didn't expect to hear that, from anyone. I've been drooling over the S1000 since BMW pulled the covering off it. What changed your mind?

Well, I honestly have no clue what changed my mind. I went to a dealer to test drive some blades and I went there with the S1RR. As soon as I got on the blade I was in-love from the beginning.

I part of it (I think) is the easy to use power. On the S1RR you had to go beyond 8K on the revs in order to start moving properly.

BUT - The S1RR HP4 is a different story I think :-)

I'm just waiting for Honda to release the RC1000V...

2012 is good, can't argue with that. They made a lot of changes on the chassis. Same power delivery but handling improved a lot more.

I still think, if Honda nails it that the RC1000V would pretty-much beat the S1RR.

Personally I think Honda has a lot more potential that we're seeing at the moment, and that's going to be released on the RC1000V: http://www.cycleworld.com/2012/12/04...-concept-bike/

Yip, that's a big if too. I really hope they pull this one. If Honda aims their products more towards track-oriented groups - they would dominate.

I read an article somewhere that they're aiming more towards the European markets. The CBR is leaning more towards daily commute than track - which is good for Honda, but is a little frustrating since you know that can do better.

The 2012 blade could've got tracktion control at least...just to be in-line with the competition for 2012 like the R1, ZX10 and S1RR.
