Should I demand a new bike?

The dealership has had my 2012 blade with 5700 miles on it for over two weeks. This coming saturday will make 3 weeks. They have not done much with it because the motion alert system thats hooked up to it has only alerted me a total of 3 times since I dropped it off and the first one didnt even happen until more than a week after I dropped it to them.

I tried to call honda of north america but they are closed until thursday. When I do talk to them I was going to demand either my money back or a new bike. The reason I bought a new bike was to avoid things like this.

What do you guys think?

You won't get a new bike, I would have an independent party look into it.

2 weeks is long enough for anyone to complain however, I believe it takes a lot more than that to get the legal side of things involved. Don't quote me but I think it is anywhere between 30 to 45 days to resolve the issue.

New bike...Christmas isn't that awesome mate. Unless they take the bike back for the same issue 3-4 times, all while within a time limit..lemon law. You won't be getting a new bike out of any complaint. Unless your talkin about getting the dealership to exchange a bike for yours..then maybe. but not for what you paid brand new for the '12 1kRR

How can you get a bike alert living 30 minutes from the dealer? Have you tried calling the dealer before calling Honda to get an explanation? Maybe they are waiting on parts etc.

I would try to work it out with the stealership. It is the holidays, maybe they had delays in parts or service. I would be nice one more time, then try go to the Honda company next.

The motion alert sends a text message to my phone. Distance doesnt matter
