I like my HJC Spies Replica, very light, quiet, comfy and good high speed aerodynamics.

Scorpion is my fav. best bang for your buck. if you can afford an expensive lid then Arai is my absolute fav. Shoei is just ok to me. i wouldn't go any less than a scorpion.

I'm in the market for a new helmet and I've been looking around most likely I'll go with an rf1100. Scorpion is to cheap for my head.

Thank you everyone for your opinions!!! I really appreciate it! I noticed a lot of people going with RF1100 which looks good! comfortable, and light. my bike is shinny black or gloss black! do u guys think black mate? shinny black, or black metallic? you know I heard about the scorpion 1100 going to be light too, but i dont know! i am not using it for track. I am using it for street riding, and not planning to spend ton of money! something between 250 to 400 lol

Arai Corsair V

Arai Corsair V is the way to go, more money than most but for comfort, visibility (rider) and quality, none better! I have 2 of them and 3 Quantum 2's
My Corsair's are Black and also the 2011 Isle of mann TT orange.

I like to try a new one every time. I had an hjc, then scorpion, then shoei. If I've been fancying a particular helmet for a few months, then I get it. I also always glossy black with graphics or not. I wouldn't do matte./ATTACH]buying a new helmet! need your opinion!-uploadfromtaptalk1357173738083.jpg[/ATTACH]

My favorite is Shoei X-12. I have had Arai's and HJC's. I hated the Arai's shield system and the HJC put too much pressure on my forehead.

In my opinion, the most important factor is correct fit and comfort, as mentioned by many others already, no amount of discussion on this forum can replace trying on the helmet at a dealer. I have never mail ordered a helmet.
