buying a new helmet! need your opinion!

Hi, I am upgrading my helmet. I used to have Scorpion 1000EXO and i am thinking to buy a new one! I like it solid or mostly black since my bike is black. what your opinion? and what helmet you prefer? brand? model? and why?

I will only wear Suomy or Shark, with the exception of Arai as a backup if all else fails...

I've spent a lot of time in Suomy helmets racing etc, and I've had it save my life on multiple occasions, which include the racing career ending crash...

If it is going to be a helmet for the street I would say try the bell rs1 with the photochromic lens the lens is a must get it isnt cheap but no more changing a lens over I have over 100 thou kms in the lid and have only had 1 fault with it through me being ruff with it.

You can go up from the rs1 to the bell star they use all the same shapes and lens but differant metarials ie carbon and metal lens mounts..

or you could always try the shark racer r pro I also have this helmet with a tinted lens that is very very dark and on the street it sucks because if you ride with the lens up it makes a loud whistle noise at any speed over about 50kph it is very very light tho..

Find a manufacturer that fits you well and then go from there. I started with HJC but moved to Arai when I got a little bit older and appreciated a helmet with the bells and whistles and most importantly, comfort!

ive got a shoei xr1100 which i think is rf1100 in the US

its very nice

quiet
fits awesome
very light
and looks amazing with the matt finish

Hi there , you can always look at the Shark S900 . Comes with a tinted build in lens , a pump to make it fit better , a nose and chin guard . Also the visor is anti scratch and fog resistant . Helmets has a safety rating out of 5 stars , the shark S900 is either 4 or 5 stars . Can't remember .
