I would def recommend the strap that goes over the handle bars... There's no chance of the straps rubbing on your fairings and its not very expensive. Plus you'll use it in the future if you ever need to transport the bike in the future. IMO the wheel chock isn't a must have...

dear n7hven, i didnt make you come read/comment on this thread. everyone here specifically owns this model of bike so i merely asked whats the best way to prevent any harm, nothing wrong there by any means.. dont be a prick for the sake of being a prick. post something usefull or dont post at all. thanks. everyone else: i would love to ride it home! but its supposed to be 32 outside and possibly snowing, and that doesnt sound pleasant for my 2 hour drive lol, we'll see tho
