2007 Undertail Question : Honda CBR 1000RR Motorcycle Forums: 1000RR.net

My bike came with a hotbodies undertail exhaust on it, which is borderline "stupid loud." I've taken the "cowl" if that hides the muffler and lets the butthole come through out before, just wondering if I switch to a different exhaust do I need a piece to replace this or is it simply removed? Thanks.

Just remove. Any other exhaust sits in there with out anything around it.

Hotbodies makes one called SBK. Uses standard slip on. Otherwise you'll need directionals.

You'll be fine. Just get rid of the big cowl around the exhaust and the new slip-on will fit just fine.

Yeah, what they said! Just take it off and get a new slip on. The new exhaust exposed.

This is a total shame i was looking for one of these before i brought the hyperflo i would have gladly helped you unload it lol...

Great, I appreciate the help.

Everyone loves the way it looks (including me) but it's simply too loud for my ears after 20 minutes.
