Got the 06 and I'm trying to replace its alternator cover. It's magnatized and a sealant and I'm tring to figure out the best way take it off. Flathead and force? Anybody done this before and have any suggestions?

The stator cover? Force it. Most likely gonna need a new gasket.

Yuup, I've got the gasket. But damn, I guess this thing's going to need a lot of force. Have you done it before? What did you grip to?

I used a flat head to make a little gap then used a plastic knife to spread it apart... Mine didnt have a gasket, it just hat rvt gasket maker

I used a butter knife. Go around the whole case evenly. Slowly work around it

Where did you get the gasket for this? I don't see them for sale in OEM listings

There are a couple of tabs around the edge of the stator cover that can be gently pried. It shouldn't take much force.

When i replace mine on the 08 once i removed all the bolts. I just litely tap it all around w/ a rubber mallet to brake the seal from the HONDA BOND gasket sealant they use. Its magnetized so it wont fall off. You'll will be able to tell when its ready to just pull it off. You'll see it move freely. After i finish hitting it w/ the rubber mallet. i pulled straight out.

As for gasket..... I'm not familia on the 07 and below models. But as fas as i know they just use any type of gasket sealant maker. I opted to used the original stuff the HONDA BOND sealant it was like $5 online.

we have stator cover gaskets for the 04-07. we have clutch covers gaskets for the 04-12.
