Idleing way to high 06 cbr1000 please some one help

So I just bought a 06 cbr 1000 that has custom straight exhaust, but it has a sort of baffle in it, just no packing. It was idling fine, but once it got colder out, I got on it and it wouldn't drop any lower than 2 grand. I then tried adjusting the idle, it helped for about two blocks then it was right back to 2 grand. I had to ride the clutch to keep the idle down at stop signs. When i made it home i tried backing the idle screw out again it was 2 full turns and it barley affected it. Please some one give me some ideas.

My buddies 2010 idle was stuck at 10.5 which caused him to crash his bike...so we found out how to reset his bike... Put key in ignition, turn on off 7 times.. 7 times exactly! This worked on his bike which reset it to go back to usual "normal" idle try it out and let me know how it works out for u

That's a 2010^, Someone call me out if I'm wrong but I didn't think electronics had anything to with the wax mold that the idle screw connects too..

A track guru buddy of mine told us that it resets the bike... So we tried it and it worked.. Now by turning the bike key 7 times I do not mean starting the bike.. Just turning the key on off.

I'm not a mech nor do I claim it but we were trying to figure out why it was wide open and we just couldn't figure it out so a buddy suggested the 7 turn reset ad it just so happen to work and I was astonished that it worked as well I had no clue that there was a reset as such.

Maybe your idle adjustment is stuck or its binding.
