Just crossed 1200 miles, what should I inspect?

Hey guys, I've got a '12 CBR1000RR and it hasn't seen a shop since I bought it.

I changed the oil twice, once at 200 miles, again at 600 miles, other than that, I haven't done anything maintenance wise. The throttle has more play than normal in it so I'm going to adjust that this weekend. What else should I check out?

Chain adjustment, clutch adjustment, tire pressure and just check your oil level make sure your tires are wearing evenly. Check nuts and bolts...

Adjust the throttle ASAP, and everything that BigRed said is right on the money. Check to make sure your suspension is set up correctly, even if you just set it back to factory settings (which it tells you the settings in your owners manual). They are never set correctly from the dealership. Sometimes they are as much as an entire turn off compared to the other fork. Keeping your chain lubed every 300 miles is always a good idea too. There's my 2 cents.

Thanks for replies, gonna check everything noted. I downloaded the 2008 service manual, hopefully it's the same for a 2012.

^^^^ there is a turn dial right next to the lever. That adjusts the clutch cable. Which slacks over time.
