Can I clean my bmc race filters with the k&n filter cleaning kit?

Well I have a new cleaning kit at home and if I can use that then it would be great plus it's alot more accessible to get locally.

Not to thread jack but I'm guessing you all have these filters or have had them..Do you guys feel like they make a difference over OEM?
