Next year I'm running in the CCS amateur series for 1000cc. Starting up the build for the bike from a near stock cbr1000rr. I'm going to put a picture up of the parts list and type it another time. Lemme know what you think.
I'm one lucky sob I guess you could call it. My buddie just opened up his shop lean angle performance here in jacksonville nc and is letting me build the bike there. Next year here I come lol build as follows:
Fairings - duh
Paint job
K&n air filter race
Vortex rearsets
Pcv
Qem
Crg carbon fiber levers
Motion pro throttle
HH brake pads
Gp corsa screen
Woodcraft case savers
520 kit -1 in front
Vortex gas cap - keyless start
Kn race filter
Stomp grip
Shoeri battery
That will be a nice build man. Keep the pics coming. Does your buddy's shop do tuning or is it just more mechanical type work? Im not far at all from Jville
Subframe, and the body is on the way so that's next weeks project.
I'm not going to be modifying the harness beyond repair but I will be taping it up because I don't need all the stuff on it. I'll have pics tomorrow.
Today I got the new clutch cable and spools. I need my clip-ons to come in the mail so I can get a baseline dyno sheet. I'm going to dyno bone stock and then dyno at the end. See how much power specific parts add and such.
Take more pics!!....lots of info when the bike is broken down to this level....very interesting, and can possibly help many members here! Good luck, keep us posted...looking good so far!
Alright I can do more pics. Pics as I put on everything. Should have done a thing for the fork rebuild. I've just been doing it for a while that I just do it and don't even think about it.
might want to rework another bracket there so BAS is hanging in a vertical posn. being leaned back like that could potentially alter the angle where it cuts out, as in sooner....
I couldn't get the bolts holding it on out so I cut them off.
And flattened down the back end
And Monday I'll finish the switch and such.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I know it's a lot easier to "just buy" everything but I don't have huge stacks of cash. Haha. Fairings and subframe was shipped so should have them next week. Stuffs coming together slowly.
Very nice progress man and thats a steal on the rear spools! I will have to get some those soon. I like what you did with the wiring harness. Your moving along man and it looks good. Keep up the good work.
Yea my bad I see I kinda repeated my self. I'm gonna either tuck it up in the right corner or right in the middle on the bottom. Or somewhere else tucked up.
