^ you can put spacers in a few places to get the shiftrod from rubbing on the frame.
1) 2 bolts for the footpeg.
2) each end of the shift rod.
3) shift spindle holder.
but what helped the most, if you have the sato racing shift spindler holder is to slide it forward a little. I finally have enough clearance (1mm). so annoying, b/c when it rubs you get stuck in a gear. happened to me this weekend, on a 80 mile ride home, luckily freeway, had 5th and 6th, and that's it. finally I was able to stomp it to 4th, and took a way home off the freeway with no stop lights, so I could roll thru some stop signs (safely).
