My Honda dealer in cincinnati, Honda of Fairfield, they did clutch re-recal and fixed lots of things free of charge.even got a free oil change free of charge.
The first clutch update-recal wasnt done properly and made the clutch to slip.

So if this has never been done on my bike and it is after the voluntary update has expired (time wise) could I get this covered somehow? Would my Honda extended warranty cover it?
I ask because lately I smell clutch when I beat on the bike. I also smell clutch after hard engine braking (down shifting). I dont slip the clutch much except in 1st gear if I am launching hard and that is not often at all. My bike sees alot of highway miles.

I've been experiencing the same thing for quite some time. Contacted American Honda and they said clutch recall had been performed. No punch mark though, which seems to be common, from what I've read.

I tried adjusting it at the lever, and at the crank case, but the problem persists - the engagement point changes when the engine gets hot. In my case, the bike wont start moving until my lever is almost completely released. It engages much earlier, which I prefer, when the engine is just warmed up.

Anyone have a fix?

Or if an unscrupulous dealer just reported that it was done so they could get the money from Honda without actually having done anything.
