I havent because my gearing is -1 +1 for the track or +1 in the rear for highway but i always wanted to go down in the rear and maybe up 1 in the front and see what i can get up to with the gps. But like one guy said you need motor work. if you are going to do cams and shave the head i highly recommend getting some ferrera valves and kibble white springs and retainers. I dont see any reason not to upgrade the entire head since youll be in there anyways. My 04 1000rr has a fully built motor with the best parts you can get for a motor and i make 199whp on mr-12 race gas on a STOCK ECU. i havent even upgraded my ecu yet because unfortanately its nearly impossible to find a SBK HRC ECU. but i will be testing out some top speed gearing for fun (although its a track bike) and i can probably easily hit 200 because of the work done.

Not an 08 but my 06 was GPSed (the proper way to determine actual speed) at 184 with a 16/41 sprocket setup. Thats -1 rear from stock. She did not have much left to give at those speeds and it took a fairly long strip of highway to do. You are covering a mile every ~20 seconds at those speeds.
