I would have to +2 on this one! That is, unless you put a tune with that K&N filter. Then you would be feeling the extra ponies .

So, yeah, if your going with a tune, my money would be with a K&N filter just for a very small amount of extra air flow. Is it worth the extra money for such a small increase? Probably not but it looks good on paper right.

Bullshit! You really need to know what you're talking about instead of posting bad information.

Both the K&N and BMC are tested for filtration efficiency using ISO 5011 test protocol
Filtration efficiency for the K&N is between 96 and 99%
while the filtration efficiency for the BMC is 98.5%

BMC also guarantees containment of all impurities down to 7 microns
compared to paper elemets filters (stock) which filter to around 10 micron

HA-1008R is the part number for the K&N race filter. Im in the market for a aftermarket filter as well and may just go with the K&N. I found some on ebay for around $51 shipped.

I just wrote what i have readed on internet, when i asked advise on this forum when i got my K&N air filter, and when i spoke with some drivers that race bikes, they all said, bmc filter its better for racing aplication, but they all said to get K&N for everyday ride.
I have K&N air filters on all my vehicles, exept on my semi truck.
