SkinDragger 03-29-2004, 07:43 PM WOW, my contact just got back with me today, $975 for 'glass!!! Thats some change! Plus Shipping!
Anyone found any better deals? Maybe Hot bodies or something?!?!?
JetBlast10 03-29-2004, 07:54 PM Hotbodies looks absolutely horrible on the 600RR - the worst - I'm looking into Cheetah bodies and will let you know.
SkinDragger 03-29-2004, 08:37 PM Thanks
BellsHonda 04-04-2004, 09:13 PM Don't waste your money, suck it up and buy the Sharkskinz. I have no vested interest, just plenty of experience with the race bodywork. I already have a set of the Sharkskinz ready to mount up.
The hotbodies is definetly cheaper, in price and quality.
Just my .02 worth.
Later,
Myron

Anything on those Cheetahs yet??? I'm thinking of getting a set as well....
Steamin B-man 10-21-2004, 02:48 PM What's included on that $975? Sounds like it includes the tank cover too, which you probably don't need. If that's the best price you can get, talk to one of the site sponsors here. They're all listed at the bottom of the main forum index. If you still can't get it better than that, PM me and I'll give you a vendor to call.
BTW, is the Taphouse still open in downtown Norfolk?? I used to live in Va Beach and Chesapeake before I moved back home in '97. Many a Friday evening spent there after work...

conekiller13 10-21-2004, 03:30 PM I bought My Sharkinz direct from them. Upper and lower no tail section or fender, $800.00 including shipping.
I'm probably going to buy the Cheetah myself... I have not been very favorable of their product in the past, but the price I am getting is certainly worthy of some consideration & leniency plus I have heard they have made some really good improvements so I wanna see for myself.
Sharkskinz is the best plain & simple, but they are very proud of their new RR stuff (read as $$$)
I have a lot of experience with OPP as well in both glass & carbon fiber & while their fit is incredible their craftsmanship & crash resistance leaves a lot to be desired.
OPP Carbon

The Sharkskinz upper & lower was about 1 million times better fitting & more durable than the OPP tail section

mrgrn 10-21-2004, 04:52 PM Mike, i have a ? for you, not quite related to the cbr, but more towards the rc. I was just thinking the other day about making my rc black with something and was debating whether to buy skinz or paint my OEM's? i would get a tank off of ebay and a set of STREET sharkskinz, would this come out nice IYHO? maybe i could sell my OEM stuff on ebay to recoup some dough?
I think that would be a smart move. The Skarkskinz need some prep work prior to painting, but they are pretty much the best starting point of all the bodywork I have ever used.
mrgrn 10-22-2004, 04:28 PM thank you Mike  have you seen the street versions, or just the track ones? if i get them painted by a pro will they look (cheezy)? i was thinking black with a silver wing to go with my carbon/silver mag wheels and maybe a 2003 tail kind of thing
A good painter will make it so you will never know the difference.
mrgrn 10-22-2004, 08:42 PM thank you once again Mike, two thumbs up Bro

T21KRR 10-29-2004, 01:43 PM I live in Florida, and picked up a set direct @ thier factory in Sebastain, Fl.
I paid $860.00 for a complete set; race upper, race lower, tank cover, race tail for oem seat, front fender, and Zero Gravity windscreen (needed to fit thier upper) Cash OTD. By far the best Race fiberglass I have used.
