The bike is ready today. but I won't be able to get back to the shop until next Friday. The Marchesini magnesium rims won't be available until the end of May from what I understand.

About powder coating the swingarm - there was another thread with a blue/yellow 06 with the swingarm powder coated blue and i've seriously been thinking about looking into that when I'm having the rims put on.

Nice project dude :)

but WHY 44 sprocket?

Went with the recommendation of my tuner on this.......In his opinion, going up teeth in the rear is better than dropping teeth in the front. I should add that I don't ride on the track, street only. He suggests that going up two teeth in the rear will not only allow the bike to pull harder but two up in the rear is not so extreem that it shouldn't really take any away from the top end.

I realize others have different opinions which is just fine too, but as I'm not a tuner I can't really debate dropping teeth in the front vs. going up teeth in the rear. However, the same guy has worked on the last three bikes of mine and I'm very satisfied with what he's done with them.

cool. with a 44 rear your bike should pull off the line like a bad out of hell. Good luck and hope to see the finish project soon ;)

yep 44 is the way to go.. youll still pull nicely into the 180's with that setup.. w/o the 44 this bike is a pig in 5th and 6th. it doesnt have enough hp to pull the rev limiter in 6th so a 44 will be perfect. good luck..

That does look sweet - where can I get something like that? I do know where I can get the caliper, but would need the carrier!
