Sport Tourers

Anyone have any reviews or recommendations on sport tourers?

I'm looking at the FJR 1300 and the ST 1300. I don't want Goldwing size but I don't want Interceptor size either. Something about the size of the FJR or the ST with some saddle bags and a good windscreen.

I love the ST, that this is a rockett for its size. It may not have quite the motor of the FJR, but its plenty fast, very comfortable, and handles like its not as big as it is.

They have plenty of storage, an electonically adjustable windscreen, 3 year, unlimited mileage warranty... And, in my opinion, dont look to bad. Good over all sporting bike, you can actually ride pretty agressively on that thing. Real smooth shaft driven motor.

I dont have experience with the Fj, just from what ive read, hear its a good bike as well.

Me and the wifey looked into ordering an FJR a few years back and they are the shiznit! Didn't like the idea of putting a big down payment on something and then waiting for it to be built as most are not carried in bike shops. Adjustable up/down windscreen, optional anti-lock brakes, and power out tha azz.......can't go wrong there bro....

The ST isn't quite as powerful, but it's way more comfortable, doesn't get as hot and it's plenty fast. My old man has one... pretty awesome bike.

The place off 18th/19th St. exit there in Bessemer is where I was going to order one, only thing is the colors are somewhat limited, one year one color the next another kinda thing....

Yah, I talked to a guy in Montgomery about the FJR and he said they were pretty much "made to order".

I have to dissagree. I got to sit on one that a guy had already ordered and they feel soooo comfortable....with my wife on the back! Sit on an ST in Tenn. and it didn't really impress me and looked cheaper made with less ammenities than the FJR...to all his own though.

Yeah, if I wasn't so impatient I prolly would have one instead of the 1KRR, if you are in the market though, I did alot of research on sport tourers and think it would be the only one I'd be happy with. DO IT MANG....then let me ride it...... ;)

Now if I could only see the Sheriff getting those here instead of those damned Goldwings I might have to become a bikecop....you couldn't pay me enough to ride a fatass Goldwing!HAHA Good pic. though bro....you need an FJR!

Nah, that's only accomplished by the fatass on the Goldwing losing 300 lbs. :D
