What's the hottest your bike have ever been?

I need to know this because i saw number this weekend riding in the city in traffic that scared me alot.

Let me see some numbers and then I'll let you know what those numbers where. :(

I got 226 the other day but it is really hot here right now and I was just sitting in traffic.

sitting at a light i have gotten to 240+ btu it comes right down with a little throttle time. since i put the water wetter in, it runs a little cooler and cools faster.

i dont remeber what the temp was, but during last years bike week, my temp light started flashing cause i was sitting in dead stop traffic

FYI you can do the super-simple "Kyle ECU Fan Switch Mod"... so that your fan will still work like normal (if you forget) but you'll have the ability to turn the fan on whenever you want. Really helps keep the temps down. I usually just leave mine on around town.

I haven't seen mine go above 240.

I've seen 242 sitting in traffic near the race track at bike week.

254 stuck in Vegas traffic.

230 today riden into work. It will be 100 degrees today in NJ. At 7:00 is was 80 degrees outside.

On my 04 Ive seen 250 on a hot day sitting in traffic. No temp warning light ever came on though.

I get 234~240 all the time... I ride my bike to work, and sometimes do a little traffic time... but that's as high as I have seen...

I saw 243 this past weekend while sitting in traffic in NYC. As soon as I saw that I started splitting lanes just for the sake of my motor.

About 240 on my 05.

yeah, that sounds hot as hell......thats dangerous. Next time shut her down bro, to bad you guys cant split lanes like in Cali, that helps keep the temps down.

250+ last year and it blew my stator.
haven't seen it above 240 since.

Usually 190 - 227 with maybe one or two high 230 hits, before Jet-Hot coating pipes. After Jet-Hot, been averaging 210 with a couple low 230 hits.

Yesterdays ride example... Sunny and 96 degrees (feels like 105) w/48% humidity. Rode for about 4 hours and also let it run while I took photos and a little video here and there. Sat through some one lane construction traffic. Never saw over 233.

Oh yeah... still running the original coolant too.

Damn! 270 is WAAAAY too hot. The temp indicator goes into warning (starts blinking) around 250 or so. Is your fan disabled? Coolant level low? Running some sort of non-glycol based coolant? I never get over 235 .. even sitting in traffic on a hot day..

A friend of mine that is a little crazy :) (show of) had his cbr 1k '04 at 136C (276,8F) for about 10minutes every hour. Hi just had his throttle at the limitator evry fuw minutes...

The bike runs fine after that...

I got to 255 on the way in to Laguna on Friday...stuck in a long line of bikes and looked down 1 minute after seeing 230...and there it was with the MIL light on...

I came upon another Repsol that had boiled over... meanwhile I shut her down and pushed her UP the hill... and once I crested I coasted to the next uphill and ran her up.

I never saw above 240 for the rest of the weekend scootin' around the paddock and vendor areas.

I never want to see that temp again...but I did see 235 today.

The fan was working...OVERTIME

actually No, nothing got damaged and nothing different after cool down, I even changed the oil the following day to make sure the heat dididn't brake it down but it didn't look like it did. BTW, I use racing Repsol syntetic.

250 , but I'm in Phoenix, AZ where the temp reaches ~ 120 during to summer
