Repsol HTPC

For those interested I did an article on the Repsol Home Theater PC I built. Things worked out pretty well, but MCE was a PITA. If anyone knows how to get an ATI AIW 9000Pro to work in MCE I'm all ears. For now I'm using the ATI Media Center application and it does everything MCE does (or at least that I've noticed thus far).

I may end up doing some upgrades down the road on this system such as a WinTV-PVR 150 and a sound card with digital output if I use it a lot. For now it works good enough and allows me to dub the recorded video off my set top PVR and burn it to DVD.

Just hit the HooliganBikeTech Banner below to see the details.

Fun stuff, I play with computers in the off season too. Be careful with that one though, it may crash into and tip your TV over without warning and say it's the TV's fault. LOL

Cool paint though.

That's awesome! I'm in the process of building an HTPC myself, but never thought to do anything like that. Cool!

I'm not an expert, but if I were you, I would check the relay verters on the inlines, and and reset the levels on your flux capacitor to gap the oil!

(sorry I'm retarded when it comes to computer technology, but those were some technical terms you were using)

What excatly is the problem with the card?

The card is a 4x agp so I would start by checking to see if the motherboard is set to 4x.

I would run these drivers if you are running MCE 2005. https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=294

Good luck.

And I love the paint job.

I've tried "massaging" those drivers to no avail. It seems that only ATI AIW 9600 and above are supported. Supposedly a guy named "KRAM" built hacked ATI 9000 Pro drivers that work, but I can't find them on the net anymore as they were put out in 04.
