Joker45 10-15-2004, 03:54 PM The last two days or so the site has been very slow for me. I really can't even stand to read posts because it';; take 1-3 minutes to oad a page. This is the only site I'm having problems with. Just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one.

same thing overhere
homeratsea 10-15-2004, 04:02 PM Way slooow! Though it seems to be getting back to normal.
JetBlast10 10-15-2004, 04:05 PM Serverbeach is having network issues - I already called them and they're working on it.
SOCALTIM 10-15-2004, 04:26 PM I am no computer spazz but could it be there are too many useless threads started that are nonproductive to cycling taking up space?
I.E. What happens when you sneeze, or threads regarding relationship stories hung on to like so much baggage splayed without this board for public consumption? I realize there is some use for general discussion but after all, I came here because it was a site dedicated to IKRR owners not a site for creating threads to vent tons of self admitted useless banter.
In reading P.M.'s from more than a few long time members I know I do not stand alone in feeling this way but it seems I am the only one willing to tell it like it is. These same members use to be far more active on this board but have just recently become less willing to participate in conversations dealing with most of the recent topics taking up space here.
Or maybe that is not the case, maybe it is a slow day for the host, who knows, but the thread content comments mentioned herein still applies.
Food for thought.

Another great post by socaltim. I have to give you credit for being so blunt and to the point. It really helps getting things done. I hear you on the useless posts. I will be the first to admit that I have posted a ton of stuff not related to 1krr's. Most of the time I try to at least make the thread something of value. Whether it is trying to make someone laugh or trying to make a person think a little. I just don't see the point in some of the threads lately and I have been visiting other forums. It is amazing when a chick shows up and can post anything and it will get a million hits and replies. Don't you guys get any at home? You don't see socal posting that kind of stuff. Then again I probably would never post if I had a girl like that. :salute:

Thanks for the reply JetBlast. The site already seems to be back up to speed.
As for everyone else's reply's that were off topic, thanks for continuing to reply to post with off topic banter and irrelevant information. :bitchsla: :D

I guess some people read what they want to hear not hearing what was actually said? In question are the threads that are started about useless crap, not the posts to them. Furthermore it had nothing at all to do with this particular thread but just forget it, why bother explaining if it was so unclear to you the first time. :fuck:

You know what Socialtim, if you couldn't tell I was giving you a bad time. As for your need to bash people ...stick it. You want to belittle someone feel free to do it to yourself. As for you stating your comment had nothing to do with this thread, then why put it in this thread??? I'm not trying to start a flame war here but I'm sick and tired of people stating their opinion or jacking a thread and they can't tolerate any kind of reply no matter how it is put. Peace.
SOCALTIM 10-15-2004, 05:54 PM You know what? You still do not get the point. Opinions vary, deal with it. The thread was jacked as you call it to make a very valid point which it is painfully obvious slid right past you. What a moron dude, pull it out and get a clue, Huh?
The_Doctor 10-15-2004, 06:00 PM Tim, you make valid points, and so do you Joker45.
This post is really not the appropriate place to be discussing it though, maybe in the lounge perhaps?
Not to discount what Tim has to say, but thread jacking is not cool, I have been called on it too.
RoB1KRR 10-15-2004, 06:17 PM This site is for 1krr owners, post what you want and if dont like the thread STAY OUT of it. How hard is it. Whats does it realy matter what people want to talk about, were all (just about) 1krr owners and this is a site for all of us and all topics. Loosen up and and fun. Isnt that what its about? JEEEEZZZ us
RoB1KRR 10-15-2004, 06:18 PM P.S. this site has never been SLOW for me
bdlstyle 11-09-2004, 07:32 AM Is'nt thread jacking a felony. Or was that car jacking?

i think its peter jacking.
SheSpawn 11-09-2004, 12:39 PM ok, not to add to thread jacking, but that really sicks. I didn't come here to bring drama, and I am not the only one who posts vents or life stuff happening.
I really wanted to know what happens when you sneeze, I didn't think it was useless, I was always worried about what would happen if I sneexed when riding, it was a concern of mine, I figured I would ask those who have been there, excuse me for being curious. I have also posted information pertinent to bikes, like a thread on installing my exhaust, requested information on parts and upgrades. I am sorry if I got your panties all in an uproar because I am a woman who invaded a mostly man's world, but I don't think my posts are useless.
It has been my understanding that a board is like family and some of the people here have started to treat me as such. And sometimes life happens and when we have no where else to go we vent.
You get mad at me for posting issues on custody battles, not relationship mine you my relationship is fine, yet someone can come and post that they are bored and waiting for a plane and that doesn't bother you.
I haven't even been here lately and all the posts I have posted recently have been purely bike related, save this one of course. Most of the people here have been mor than kind and curteous to me, if you have a problem with me and my posts, tell me, don't be an ass and put me down in public. Sometimes if you let someone know they are bothering you, they fix it. Not all women think the world revolves around them and their way of life.
And again, I stand by my Sneeze post, my whole body convulses when I sneeze, seemed like a dangerous thing to have happen on a bike I just wanted to know how to handle it, so sue me.
The_Doctor 11-09-2004, 06:24 PM SheSpawn, you are absolutely right.
I do not think personal attacks are right in any situation on this board.
So, in the future, please, if anyone has issue with an individual on this board, and you feel unable to address them personally by email, pm, etc. bring it to any of the mods, or to JetBlast10, and we will address things. For the most part, this is a very well running board with lots of good information being shared. I want to see it stay that way, and I am sure the majority of you do as well. This board is not the appropriate place to be making personal attacks of other members.
This is an old thread, and on that note, I can see no point in keeping it active. Consider this thread locked.
