I have been waiting to see a black and silver bike. Found a picture on another forum. I was not going to wait to see all of the colors and just buy a red and black. Glad I waited because this is what I will be waiting for. My wife and daughter were in an accident today. Everyone is fine but I will have to wait a while to buy the bike as I now have to buy a car also. In any case I now have good reason to wait on some silver/blk bikes to arrive instead of just chomping at the bit. Gotta take care of the priorities first and then............its on! :banban: http://www.sportbikez.net/picture/2284

If you thin it looks good in the pictures just wait until you see it in person. I personally have not seen the silver/black inperson the the red/black and the all black look 100% better in person. we need someone to pick one of those up and post more pics.

Silver black is awesome looking; even the lower fairing doesn't bother me on a silver black RR!

They have the silver and black at a couple dealers here ans while it looks good it is My least favorite in person. The all blck looks wicked sinister(one of the reason I went with it) the Red and Black looks nice except for the lowers......get lowers painted to match and damn...........

sorry to hear about your wife and daughter.. glad they are ok. I have a silver and black f4i, i like it but the color looks old after awhile, so i got the red and black for the 1000 RR. for one thing it matches my leather hahaha... another is that it sure stand out ina crowd, though my friends are telling me it will be a ticket magnet. maybe you should wait to see it in person before you get it. its a matter of taste :)

I agree, the silver & black was the least appealing in person.

thanks for the input gentlemen. I plan to see them all in person. The only one I have seen is the red and black. It looks good. I actually look for something that will be easy to customize. Silver and black will be ready for chrome rims. The bike is already the right color you see. Anyway, I just had another problem arise. A friend stopped by that I hadn't seen in a while. He had told me he was going to buy a used bike but he lied. Bought a brand new bike. A ZX10. It looks awesome. There goes my mind wandering again. :?

Wandering where?? They can't give those things away here. With the short wheelbase and power delivery, no one wants an unmanagable bike. It's funny because the only people I have heard even considering buying a ZX10, are your average spec sheet buyers. The same guys that had to buy a Gixxer1000 when they came out, just to say "My bike can kick your bikes ass", I just laugh at those people. All straightline riders. BTW, about looking awesome, I think that bike is the most cheaply made bike of all the 1000's out there right now. It looks like it was cobbled together with whatever parts they could find. The fit-n-finish isn't anywhere near what the Honda has. The gauge cluster sums it all up... -End Rant-

I went back and forth on the Silver/Black and all Black for over an hour. In the end the Silver/Black won, because of maintainence. The silver wouldn't show scratches easily, but the Black would show every one, especially under sunlight. The Black would also be difficult to keep clean, as I don't usually detail the bike more than once a week. Just in the time that the black sat outside the dealer, a thin film of pollen collected on it, and was totally noticable.

Hey IronNutz, yes I did post the wandering bit but in the end it will be the CBR. Honda reliability wins all for me in any case. I hear too many horror stories from mechanics about the others. The Yamaha is coming around though I hear. I would have to drive in excess of 2hrs to get to any other dealer so Honda wins simply because the dealer is right up the street and I want them as close as possible just in case. Guys in town that own other bikes have to trailer and travel for any kind of major maintenance. I still think the ZX10 is a mean looking bike except for the beak like part that sticks out over the intake from the side view. That looks wierd to me. Other than that it looks pretty good. I also agree with what is being said about the black CBR. Any and everything shows up on black. I also believe in being seen by cages. I have a yellow and black f4i and have had people pull out in front of me so black would be totally out of the question as it will blend to the settings worse than any color. I go bright. That is another reason why one of those bright orange 10s looks so appealing to me but I'll just paint my CBR turquois or something. Just joking.
