MCN was supposed to test the '04 R1 on Feb 9th. But no news on their website of the test. I think the Blade will be the overall winner, as most are sawing it's the best balanced/overall 1000cc yet.

We have to wait until april for 1000 rr
Australian mag has reportedly tested the R1 just last week. From their comments (much like the new Blade), we'll have a nice comparo coming from all the ragz. The R1 looks to be just as much of a contender as the new Blade, light, good feeling on both ends (no more vague front end) and good power. We'll see. I still wouldn't buy one, squids ride Yamahas :D

Again, I think the rider will make the BIGGEST difference from bike to bike.
