Hello All,
Im just picked up my new 08/09 CBR1000rr and I'm wondering what the running temps are? I've looked right though owners manual and all its telling me is that the warning light will come on at 122c.
Current Temps;
highway riding = 75c
local streets = 108c

Im being lazy but convert that to fahrenheit? Mine runs 178-180 degrees on the freeway in hot(90+) degree weather. Around town stop and go it hits 218-220 when the fan kicks in then back to 205-210.

As stock (rich) 75c is perfect on the highway, if well mapped, then it should show 79-80c, more than that means lean

those are the temps I'm seeing here in Ottawa.

hmmm. I saw 225º-226º at idle a few weeks when it was over 100ºf here in L.A. called the dealer and they said it was 'normal' for it get get that high w/ summer temps here in So Cal

122c when the 08 Blade fan kicks in, my gsxr fan starts at 100.
Honda must think its fine
