I have an '07 cbr1K and was reading up on the types of aftermarket rotors. I had settled on the Galfer wave rotors until I read up on another site (fireblade.org) and many people commented on the value and stopping power of the Arashi rotors. After lots of searching, I have not been able to locate any of the Arashi rotors for the '07 model. Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated
This is exactly why I refuse to use Chinese discs. I'm sure there's decent stuff out there, but I've got no interest in finding out the hard way. I bought a set of Marchesinis a little while back, that had a set of identical rotors installed - there's no way on God's green earth I'll use those discs on the track, and probably not even on the street; the consequences of one shattering (which is obviously only ever going to happen when you're applying the brakes) are too scary to comprehend.
Plus, personal tastes, I've never liked the look of wavey discs on the front anyway !
I agree. I would up going with the Galfer wave rotors. It's not worth saving a few dollars vs saving my life!!!!
