If you buy beyond core 2 Deo then you can put Vista Operating System If not your computer is only dual core you can put Windows 7 and If your computer is P4 then Window Xp will be the best.

Avoid Vista.

XP is good, though it's getting very old.


If you are rather computer savvy and familiar with it, Linux is good stuff.


Win-8 will (probably!) be out later this year. The 1st BETA release is scheduled for next week, and a Release Candidate set for release in a few months.
So far, I don't like it.
It seems like they are going for Vista-II

I think you should go with Windows XP professional it is quite easy to handle, in-case of vista you need to update it regularly.
