I had a large icon helmet. After awhile I upgraded to shoei rf series and went with the same size. Fit perfectly. On the other hand, I would try finding another motorcycle store. Your best bet is to try it before you buy it. Hope that helps,mate.

I spent forever in a store trying on different helmets. Shoei fits me the best, and even then I had to get custom cheek pads for the perfect fit. Worth every penny, though!

Its totally depend upon the size of the head and..some people wear small size and some people wear big hilmat..but it is very valueable during the riding..

If you do go to Houston and don't see what you like or they don't have you can go down the street for 2wheeltoyz, the mech there is a track guru and most likely has a head sizer in which you can probably look online to match your hat size with a helmet. I'm in California and a mech at a track shop, she helped me and had a size indicator for my AGV

I personally do not like shoei helmets. If I'm in Suomy and Shark. I have an Arai as my last resort backup...

Don't get me wrong, they are good helmets, but I personally think you get more bang for you're buck with suomy. Shark is a bit more money, but also well worth the price tag in my opinion. I've had some huge offs and walked away unscathed thanks to these helmets.

However, I've heard some good stuff about the Airoh lids, so I may be talking with Brad about a gp500 in the near future.

If you're into shoei and near cycle gear, I'd try on an Arai and shoei to see which fits you're melon best....
