Helmet Question, size of visor opening?

Does the size of the "vision opening" vary by MFR? Every time I'm in a full tuck with my HJC all I can see is the helmet. Seems to me something with a little more peak in the middle of the opening would work better. I've had this helmet for 18 months, time for a new one.

I'm willing to spend 3-400 but prefer under 300. My opinion there is that it's better to spend less and buy a new lid every year than to try and keep an expensive lid for 3-4 years. I've landed on my head many times off-road so you can chalk that opinion up to experience (or head trauma).
