I have the need to have accurate speed. Either with GPS display or because the CBR speedo numbers are large a speedo healer would do the job. I have one already and tested it on the bench. My question is, could someone point me to the right spot to pick up the signal on the bike.
Cheers
That is only a temporarly solution because it is not in line of sight.
I have done something a bit more drastic and mounted a RAM mount on the screen yesterday and will see how this works out.
Hi there, I have a speedo healer and it works great!!! I have a 2014 CBR1000SE/SP with -1 front and +2 up rear. My signal is located onto of the gearbox under the fuel tank and speedo healer come equipped with all harnesses. It is really easy to install. I have my dyno shop tune it in for me on their dyno for precisest tuning.
The reason was the torque. I wanted more because the stock wasn't picking up fast enough at mid to high end power. And now omg the torque feels so good. That's why I went with the speedo healer to help my speedometer reads more accurately. I have a street radar in my neighborhood and it reads right on the money at 40 mph.
My Honda dealer quotet AU$ 160 for a speedo healer which is to much and I have an after market one for $45 but not the Honda harness. I found the red plug and also a white one. Have you got any idea what the white plug is for?. Could you send me a picture of your wiring harness or for this matter anybody which likes to help. The way I understand how the wiring should run is the link from the gearbox sensor to the speedo needs the healer inserted. This would mean the harnes has 3 connectors= gearbox-healer-speedo.
Thanks for any help.
Alf
I macked around with phone/gps apps and stand alone GPS and found the best is the speedo healer, fast and accurate to the level I need, some of the GPS are slow to update, at least on a Blade with high axilleration.
Not sure what the white plug is for. I got my speedo healer through Amazon . The sensor onto of the gearbox has 1 connector which is a two wire male plug.
Hi all, in same same but different situation. not so much gps accuracy stages yet.
recently changed my sprockets -1F +1R, not a huge change but still want speedo reading as close as possible. speed and red light speed cameras are like wild fire in my area at the moment. anyways i have been putting off installing my 12o'clock labs speedo drd, very similar product to speedo healer but half the size....
anyways, saw the video on you tube that tedEbear shared, whilst somewhat informative it doesn't show SFA. so i've been putting off the install until i get my block off plates and make an arvo of it.....
reading the speedo drd instructions and reading some info in previous posts related to OP topic. All signs point to plug in the 2 way loom after the power commander to save conflicting/incorrect info going to ecu/PCV.
Any of you running PCV's able to clarify for me please - does that mean your speedo healer/drd gets plugged directly to the box sensor and PCV wiring to it?
or PCV stays at box and healer connects at the ecu input end from sensor?
didn't fit my pcv and just want to be sure i've got a fair idea before commencing. seeing as some of you guys are running a healer/drd and PCV i'd appreciate any info
