Im pretty positive I have the crank issue on my 08. So today I call the local Honda shop and he told me he could use my VIN to tell. Is this true? Also is there any BS they are going to try with my. My bike is not stock, full yoshi, pcv, and k&n.

Recalls typically cover particular VIN's, yes. IF it is under recall.

My crank is actually getting replaced as I "text" because of the recall, so I suggest you take it in have them send a video to Honda Corp. and possibly they will replace it and your rings like me for free

Lol, we'll to do the job it's a 2 day job, waiting on confirmation for replacement of crank n rings is roughly a week and waiting on them is like a 4-5 day process if local so I'd say uhh, 2 weeks maybe a little more. I believe it's worth the wait if your getting free shit. I'm waiting on my rings right now so once those come in , I'm hoping by the middle of next week.

Now don't quote me on times those are just guesstimates

Yea I mean that'd all I was wanting. I've seen some on here that took 6 to 8 weeks and just did seem right. Thanks tho

Well it all depends on you keeping them on track I call like every 3 days to see how it's going and of my parts have been ordered or I got the ok from Honda Corp. to get the free crank replacement n rings, are my parts in, just keep their minds on your bike and, not to sound rude "fuck everyone else's bike there"

Replacing the actual crank and rings is a 9 hour job according to Honda Corp. Getting the parts in and getting approval is a whole other ball game. It will take 2-3 weeks.
